Description
A vigorous vine unrivaled in flower power, the Tangerine Beauty Crossvine is an easy-to-grow floriferous North American native vine that quickly covers fences (from top to bottom), arbors and other structures without being invasive. LOADS of fragrant bright orange-red trumpet flowers with yellow throats put on a stunning color show in spring then reblooming in summer and fall. In our central Georgia gardens, some years it seems to bloom continuously spring to frost! The dense foliage consisting of attractive, oblong leaves remain evergreen turning reddish-purple in fall in the deep South zones 8b to 9b with subsequent leaf drop in the northern regions zones 6a to 7b.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing up to 30 feet in height or length (however tall or long the support structure) and 4 feet or more in width, the Tangerine Beauty Crossvine is ideal for use to climb on and cover fences (from top to bottom!), or to cover a trellis, arch, arbor, pergola or any other structure that might benefit from or support the flowering vine. Rather than grow along just the top of a fence, the vines cascade all the way down to the ground to entirely cover the fence. A fine addition to hummingbird and butterfly gardens, tropical look gardens, orange theme gardens, and the Xeriscape (low water needs).
Suggested Spacing: 4 to 6 feet apart to covers fences
Growing Preferences
The Tangerine Beauty Crossvine is exceptionally easy to grow in most any average, moist but well-drained soil of average to low fertility. It grows in full sun or shade, however flowers heavier with more sun. We recommend at least 6 hours of direct sunlight for full flowering. Plants are quite drought tolerant when established. Pruning isn’t necessary, however the vines can be pruned after flowering to keep tidy.

I purchased these vines in the spring from another source and had no luck. I then purchased several from Wilson Bros and they all took off without issue. They are all doing excellent and grabbing on to the fence at this point. I can’t wait to see a full 140′ of crossvine on my fence! I highly recommend this company.————————————————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG

Lovely plants. Can’t wait to put them in the ground.——————————We are so glad you are pleased with your purchase! Thanks for the great review! Beth | WBG 🙂
My two crossvines arrived quickly. They were well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box, each plant in it’s own pot surrounded by plastic wrap, which kept damp soil contained around the root system. Both plants had well developed roots and several 18″ long leaf covered vines that were easily secured to a trellis. I think they will both survive.——————————We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! Thanks for the great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG

I ordered 2 plants, which arrived well-packed and healthy. There were several vines in each pot, all staked up. Although slow to start, after about a month, they were growing several cm per day, and are now almost 3/4m tall. They do seem to need some extra watering, but are doing well.——————————————-We are so glad you are pleased! Beth | WBG
